Partner Mark Bloom has been named to the annual Super Lawyers list for the 2nd year in a row (2020 / 2021).
Bloom has more than a decade of experience litigating high-stakes cases in the trial courts, federal courts, and courts of appeal. He is an aggressive trial attorney that has secured numerous multiple multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts. Bloom successfully argued before the Court of Appeal on the validity of Code of Civil Procedure 998 in Ignacio v. Caracciolo (Aug. 3, 2016, B266930) 2 Cal.App.5th 81, the Second District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles issued an opinion holding that a general release exceeding the scope of the current litigation renders a settlement offer invalid under California Code of Civil Procedure section 998.
Bloom’s current practice primarily focuses on bringing his litigation experience and skill to bear on complex and highly contested liability issues involving personal injury, employment and business disputes. He is licensed to practice in both the state and federal court in California.

Bloom is a Certified Contract Advisor with the NFL Players Association and has championed injury settlements totaling upwards of eight figures for over 50 professional football players. He is also an adjunct professor at Loyola Marymount Law School teaching Sports Law.
A native of New Orleans, Mark now resides in El Segundo, CA with his wife, Kate and their son, Maxwell. Mark is a former national, as well as world racquetball champion and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He enjoys playing sports- tops on the list are tennis, Padel, Pickleball, and squash.
Mark is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Hebrew.
